Business Analyst (FT- Remote/Hybrid Position)

Department: Finance.
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer; Tom Chesterman.
Location: Hybrid (Corporate Office and Home Office) in Deer Valley, Phoenix, Arizona.
FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time, Benefit Eligible.

Looking for an analyst to assist with the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating performance reports. Prepare a detailed annual budget, budget scenarios, and monthly operating forecasts. Provide quantitative analytical support to various areas of the company. Develop mathematical or statistical models for pricing, market potential, or new product candidate assessment. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, candidates should be strong and articulate communicators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Apply mathematical or statistical techniques to address practical issues in planning in an operating company environment.
  • Develop methods of assessing or measuring corporate performance, including accessing diverse enterprise resource systems, customer relationship management systems, and marketing program management systems to extract and analyze data.
  • Develop and maintain financial and operational models.
  • Develop a budget and analytical models.
  • Perform analysis on projects, project tracking, and new product business cases.
  • Gather, track, and analyze sales performance metrics data.
  • Analyze competitor and market performance.
  • Perform market research.
  • Develop and test pricing and other marketing and sales tools.
  • Other projects, as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (KSA’s)
  • Excellent research skills, especially online searches. 
  • Solid communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.  
  • Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills, with clear, logical modeling and documentation. 
  • Enthusiasm, patience, and a passion for asking new questions and then answering them. 
Education and Experience:
  • Graduated from a BBA Program.
  • 1-3 years of Financial Planning & Analyst or quantitative market research experience or both. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment with strong interpersonal communication skills. 
Physical Demands and Travel Requirements:
  • Office-based position, or remote with office check-ins, as needed.
  • Most work is performed at a computer; long periods of sitting are required. 
  • Ability to use standard office equipment including computers, multi-line phones, printers/copiers, etc.  
Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Position-specific aptitude assessments will be conducted on all second-round candidates. 
  • Various background, driving, employment, and education verifications, and clean drug screen are required and will be run for all final-round candidates.  
  • Occupational health assessments and position-specific vaccinations may be required for specific field positions. 
Compensation & Benefits:
  • SenesTech offers competitive compensation based on experience, current market, and KSAs. 
  • This is a non-exempt, full-time, benefit-eligible position requiring 40 hours of work per week; yet may require overtime in extenuating circumstances approved by the leadership team.
